German Ambassador in Punjab: German Ambassador to India Mr. Phillip Ackermann today called on Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan. During the meeting at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, while both the leaders emphasized on strengthening mutual cooperation between both countries, S. Sandhwan stressed issues related to the Sikhs living in Germany. He asked for strengthening the cooperation between India and Germany in various fields, adding that both countries can benefit from mutual exchange in various fields.
Sandhwan also asked Mr. Philip Ackermann to start direct flights from German to Punjab besides encouraging German companies to invest in the state of Punjab.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ackermann said that Germany is willing to further develop strong bilateral cooperation with India, which will further boost the relationship between the two nations.
Prominent others who were present in the meeting included Mr. Peter Stengler, Finance Secretary Ms. Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, and Secretary Vidhan Sabha Mr. Ram Lok Khatana.
